Univariate Statistics

In this assignment you will be using the GSS data set that comes with your book (ASR).

Take your chosen dependent variable from GSS and one likely independent variable.

Run frequencies and descriptive statistics (minimum, maximum, mean and standard deviation).

Create bar chart for both variables.

Then recode them into dichotomies.

Run frequencies on these new variables and check for mistakes.

Create a pie chart for each.

Get the frequencies for the dichotomous dependent variable for each value of the dichotomous independent variable.

Write a few paragraph (not more than a page) explaining the meaning of your output. Hand in your explanation and output file via e-mail to aronatas@ucsd.edu.
