Welcome to the web site of the Second World Congress of Environmental Economists.The Congress will be held at the Marriott Hotel in Monterey, California.

The Congress will commence with an opening reception and registration at the Marriott in the late afternoon on Sunday, June 23, 2002. The Congress sessions will begin on Monday, June 24th at 8 am and run through 5:45 pm on Thursday, June 27th .

The event is sponsored by the Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (AERE) and the European Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (EAERE). It is hosted by the Giannini Foundation of Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of California at Berkeley and Davis, together with the Donald Bren School of Environmental Science and Management at the University of California, Santa Barbara.

On this web site you will find all currently available information concerning the World Congress, including paper submission information, registration and travel grant materials as well as extensive information regarding the conference location. The conference program, paper abstracts, social events and side events will be available soon.
