The University of California, San Diego, Department of Anthropology (http://anthro.ucsd.edu) invites applications for
- POSITION 1:
A tenured Associate or Full Professor faculty appointment in sociocultural anthropology
- POSITION 2:
A sociocultural anthropologist working on the relationship between religion and politics for an Assistant (tenure track) or Associate (with tenure) Professor faculty appointment. We are especially interested in scholars whose research focuses on Africa, Southeast Asia, or North America, though others will be considered.

Start Date: July 1, 2008.
- Salary: The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, and salary will be based on published UC pay scales.
