My Office Hours for Spring 2008 will be Thursdays from 2-4pm, in SSB #341. (Click here for a campus map.)
These are some of the classes I teach. If I am not currently teaching the class, the syllabus that is available is from the last time the class was taught. For those not familiar with UCSD lingo, CAPE (Course and Professor Evaluations) is a UCSD department that keeps track of professors and their performance. To really see what they thought of me, check out my favorite student comments.
POLI 11 - Introduction to Comparative Politics
POLI 136a - Nationalism and Ethnic Conflict
MMW 5 - Revolution, Industry and Empire
MMW 6 - The 20th Century and Beyond
See the slides you missed! For a limited time only (to help you review for the final exam), I've posted most of the lecture slides on-line. Of course, nothing compares to seeing them in-person. And I can't guarantee that the slides you see here are in the same polished, error-free and complete state as the ones you saw in class. Still, they should come in handy for review. Please note that these slides are the proprietary material of Ethan J. Hollander and the University of California, San Diego. (© 2008 by Ethan J. Hollander. All rights reserved.)
Please note, also, that the lecture subjects listed below are approximate. Finally, keep in mind that some class meetings (such as exams or classes where movies were shown) do not have slides associated with them.
